If a grown child looks back to memories of his childhood, the first thing he will remember will probably be his first teddy bear. Teddy bears have become the icon of all stuffed toys. There are questions about who made the first teddy bear, but it remains one of the most recognizable items, loved by children and adults alike. Most teddy bears remain the chubby, brown furred, huggable toy that we are so familiar with. But we are also seeing a lot of new look in the teddy bear.
For one, extra large teddy bears have cropped up in stores. They are not the kind that you can hug and go to sleep with. They just sit on a stool in a corner of the room, like a sentry watching his best friend. There are also a family to bears – mom, dad and cutie pie baby bears. Special teddy bears are personalized and carry a meaningful message.
