In order to save money for my college fund, I currently babysit a number of kids in my neighborhood. I have been doing this since I was in freshman year of high school, since I knew we would not have the means to get myself continue studying for college. I would need to make sure I have a bright future ahead of me, and I must do a bit of sacrificing in order to achieve my dreams.
One of the bunches that I absolutely dread are the boys who live right next door. Since their mom raises them all by herself and was willing to pay a lot of money for me to look after them, I would need to endure the hours I would spend with these kids. I would usually entice them with boys action figures and playsets which I invested on in order to make them behave. Most of the time, this trick works and I can get them to do as I say just so I can let them play with these toys. For a babysitter like me, I would need to come up with schemes just so I can perform my job without hassles.
I am a preschool teacher and I really love my job because instead of working with adults everyday, I work with children. They are really a breath of fresh air and they are very interesting to talk to. They will never fail to give you new insights in life and give you a smile on your face everyday. That’s why I make it to a point that I form a relationship with each and every one of them.
I always make sure that aside form their academic progress, they should also have a healthy social progress. When it comes to toys, I always make sure that they only use educational ones inside my classroom and I also advice their parents to do the same thing. Instead of letting them play with computers I advice them to let them play with wooden toys like blocks because they can really help in improving a child’s imagination and creativity. Lastly, it can also help them learn how to share with friends.
